Interview

Caisse d’Epargne PAC wanted to deploy digital WALLBOARD in its back and middle office banking production teams for the animation and management of activity (these teams having the particularity of being located on 3 continents: Metropolitan France, Reunion and Antilles).

Interview with Patrick Vincenti, Head of the Monitoring and Assistance Department

HELLO PATRICK, COULD YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF?

Having joined the Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC in 1999, I have been responsible for the Monitoring and Assistance Department in the Banking Operations Department for the past year. In this capacity, I oversee a “branch support” department as well as a unit of 2 coordinators in charge of transversal projects for the company’s management.

CAN YOU INTRODUCE US THE CAISSE D’EPARGNE CEPAC?

The Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC is part of the BPCE Group. Formerly Caisse d’Epargne Provence Alpes Corse, the CEPAC has been given this new name since our merger on May 1, 2016, with 3 banks from overseas (Banques de la Réunion, des Antilles Françaises and St Pierre et Miquelon). An establishment that now has nearly 3500 employees spread over 3 continents and 8 time zones.

WHY CHOOSE PINGFLOW’S SOLUTION?

The desire to instill a more participatory management, to encourage continuous improvement while boosting collective efficiency through the implementation of visual management within our company’s management dates from 2015.
Pushed back after the bank merger, this project has evolved, moving away from physical display to a digital solution, more in line with our many digitized processes. And after evaluating various solutions, it was the Pingflow Company that seemed to us to be the best suited to our needs.

HOW WAS THE TOOL PERCEIVED WITHIN THE DIFFERENT UNITS?

With 3 volunteer Services, we were able to complete our first 3 boards in less than 3 months. Since the co-construction phase of the first wallboards, we have perceived a real enthusiasm, both from employees and managers. So much so that, without waiting for the end of POC, we decided to generalize the project to our other 6 services but also to our bank production entities located overseas.
At the same time, we responded to requests for submission of the solution from other CEPAC departments but also from other BPCE Group companies

DO YOU SEE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEFORE AND AFTER?

Five months after the installation of the first wallboards, we note that employees participate more in the reporting of indicators displayed on their boards, they tell us better measure production and better understand each other’s activities, which makes it easier for people to be involved— On the managers’ side, postures are also evolving: they now focus on the essentials during the weekly briefs, they delegate more easily and more frequently give the floor to their experts, which makes it possible to better value the skills of each other … and concretely, the morning focus as well as the weekly brief are now done around the Wallboard even in the absence of the manager.

WHAT IS YOUR OVERALL FEELING OF THE SOLUTION?

It was easy for us to shape our wallboards and attach our sources to them. In the near future, we will explore other possibilities offered by the tool, and are ready to be strong proposal as part of a user club to help improve if needed the Pingview solution.
In summary, I would say that we are very satisfied with our relationship with Pingflow, both by the software solution and by the proposed support. Essential assets for us to achieve our transformation goal in the coming months.
